The Amazing Spectacle of America’s Self-Destruction: Zionists and Katrina (Part One)
America’s self destruction is one of the most amazing spectacles in global politics. At the beginning of the new millenium, america’s economy was booming to such an extent it could afford to spend more on defence than all other countries around the world put together. America was hailed not only as the world’s sole superpower but a hyper-power which could over-awe the rest of the world. Such global pre-eminence had never been seen before in ooman history. But all was not what it seemed. The Main Elements of America’s Self Destruction. Firstly, politically america had been taken over by israelis, jewish neocons, whose prime loyalty is to the jews-only state in palestine. It was not surprising that those sickened by decades of zionist and american colonization of the middle east carried out the new york and pentagon (p*ny) bombings. There is little doubt that mossad knew about the planning for these attacks but it did not warn the bush administration because the political repercussions of the attack were so beneficial to the jews-only state in palestine. According to gerald shea, "Why the Israeli government decided not to share with us all the critical information they had, and the extent of that information, is a subject for the public inquiry. They may have thought some sort of warning prudent in the event their surveillance activities later became a matter of public knowledge. But any energetic Israeli effort to assist the United States in preventing the attacks would not have served their strategic interest, in view of the disastrous effect those attacks were likely to have on the relationships between the United States and the Arab world. As a leader of the Israeli New Jersey Group said when he was arrested on the afternoon of September 11, 'We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems.'" (Gerald Shea quoted in Justin Raimondo ‘Israel and 9/11: New Report Connects the Dots’ http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=7127 August 31, 2005). The reason the american congress does not launch an inquiry into what mossad knew about the p*ny bombings is because the likudnik israelis in congress are protecting the jews-only state. Secondly, the p*ny bombings were politically exploited by america’s jewish neocons to push the bush administration into giving ariel sharon a free hand in implementing a military solution to the palestinian problem and into pursuing a series of proxy zionist wars. America’s zionist rulers proclaimed the american military would be welcomed as liberators in iraq. Less than four years later the american military has been fought to a humiliating stalemate, and the costs of the war have exploded to such an extent that more is being spent in iraq than in vietnam. "The U.S. Treasury is paying out more each month to sustain the war in Iraq than it did during the Vietnam War, according to a new report that calls the ongoing conflict "the most expensive military effort in the last 60 years."" (Jim Lobe ‘Iraq War Costs Now Exceed Vietnam's’ http://www.antiwar.com/lobe/?articleid=7134 September 1, 2005). If it hadn’t been for the resistance put up by iraqi freedom fighters there is little doubt that america’s zionist rulers would have pushed the country into further proxy zionist wars against iran and syria, "The Iraqi resistance, one of the least expected and most powerful social movements of recent times, can lay claim to few positive results. In two years of excruciating (if escalating) fighting, the insurgents have seen their country progressively reduced to an ungovernable jungle of violence, disease, and hunger. But maybe, as Solnit suggests, their real achievement lies in what didn't happen. Despite the deepest desires of the Bush administration, to this day Iran remains uninvaded – the horrors of devolving Iraq have, so far, prevented the unleashing of the plagues of war on its neighbor." (Michael Schwartz ‘The Ironies of Conquest: The Bush administration's Iranian Nightmare’ http://www.antiwar.com/engelhardt/?articleid=6915 August 10, 2005). It is vital to glorify iraqi freedom fighters for preventing the israeli necon led american military from pursuing further wars in the middle east. Thirdly, since the invasion of iraq, the dollar has been declining in value, america’s balance of trade has worsened, and federal expenditure has gone through the roof. As a consequence, the global dominance of the dollar is under considerable threat. America’s zionist proxy war against iraq has reaped huge military, economic, and political, benefits for the jews-only state in palestine but, for america, it has become a military, financial, and political, disaster. Fourthly, americans believed they could steal resources from around the world and indulge in a materialistic orgy without destroying the Earth’s life sustaining processes and destabilizing the global climate. They believed that even if they destabilized the climate, the chances were that it was highly unlikely to affect them. This arrogant and ignorant belief has been shattered by the devastation inflicted on new orleans by hurricane katrina. Despite the fact that america is by far and away the richest country in the world, the scale of the devastation caused by Katrina has required the american government to ask for assistance from the rest of the world. Planetary Justice It is tempting to reflect that Katrina has rendered some sort of planetary justice. Since oomans themselves seem incapable of rendering such justice then the Earth imposes its own form of justice. Firstly, americans’ destruction of the Earth’s life support system has ended up devastating their own backyard not merely the poorer parts of the world. Americans have boosted global burning not merely through the release of greenhouse gases but also the devastation of the Earth’s Photosynthetic capacity which could help to remove such gases from the atmosphere. The destruction of the Earth’s Photosynthetic capacity in new orleans has also destroyed the city’s natural defences against flooding, "The Bush administration's policy of turning over wetlands to developers almost certainly also contributed to the heightened level of the storm surge. In 1990, a federal task force began restoring lost wetlands surrounding New Orleans. Every two miles of wetland between the Crescent City and the Gulf reduces a surge by half a foot. Bush had promised "no net loss" of wetlands, a policy launched by his father's administration and bolstered by President Clinton. But he reversed his approach in 2003, unleashing the developers. The Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency then announced they could no longer protect wetlands unless they were somehow related to interstate commerce." (Sidney Blumenthal "No One Can Say they Didn't See it Coming" – September 2005); "The loss of such coastal wetlands may be the single preventable factor that most exacerbated Hurricane Katrina's destructive power. Wetlands along rivers and near the coast are vital for absorbing and storing floodwaters, and slowing down storm surges. Coastal wetlands in the Gulf Coast have been lost to ill-planned and deadly commercial developments. Louisiana alone has lost 5000 square kilometers of wetlands over the past seven decades - an area larger than the state of Rhode Island. This equals 65 square kilometers of hurricane absorbing coast being lost every year." (Glen Barry ‘Hurricane an Unnatural Disaster, Root Causes Are Ecological’ http://earthmeanders.blogspot.com/ August 31, 2005). "More than one million acres of Louisiana's coastal wetlands, or 1,900 square miles, have been lost since 1930, due to development and the construction of levees and canals. Barrier islands and stands of tupelo and cypress also vanished. All of them absorb some of the energy and water from storm surges, which, more than the rain falling from the sky, caused the current calamity. "If these had been in place, at least some of the energy in the storm surge would have been dissipated," says geologist Jeffrey Mount of the University of California, Davis. "This is a self-inflicted wound."" (Sharon Begley ‘Man-Made Mistakes Increase Devastation Of 'Natural' Disasters’ Wall Street Journal September 2, 2005). Americans also contributed to the devastation of new orleans by changing the course and nature of the mississippi to make it capable of carrying ocean-going vessels, "Leaving aside whether the levees that broke in New Orleans could have been better constructed, their very existence contributed to the disaster. Built to keep the city from being flooded by the Mississippi, they also keep the Big Muddy from depositing silt to replenish marshes and the river's delta, as do projects that direct the river's water and sediment out to sea to create a deep shipping channel. The result is that much of New Orleans fell below sea level. Combined with the dredging to build canals, "the Gulf of Mexico is a lot closer to New Orleans than it was when Hurricane Betsy ripped through in 1965," says Prof. Steinberg. Now the gulf is in the city." (Sharon Begley ‘Man-Made Mistakes Increase Devastation Of 'Natural' Disasters’ Wall Street Journal September 2, 2005). Katrina was an american-induced disaster partly because of america’s direct contribution to global burning but, much more significantly, because the damage inflicted on the region’s wetlands increased the flooding brought about by the hurricane. It has been argued that there is no direct correlation between anthropogenic global burning and hurricanes. However, there are links, "The best science to date suggests the frequency of hurricanes doesn't reflect global warming. Straightforward physics, however, says their intensity might. As the seas and air warm, there is more evaporation, which fuels storms, and more energy available to pump them up. A new analysis by atmospheric physicist Kerry Emanuel of MIT suggests the net power of tropical cyclones (hurricanes and Pacific typhoons), a combination of the energy they pack and how long they last, "has increased markedly since 1970."" (Sharon Begley ‘Man-Made Mistakes Increase Devastation Of 'Natural' Disasters’ Wall Street Journal September 2, 2005); "Dr. Emanuel points out that detection of actual trends for hurricane activity has focused mostly on their frequency - not their power. His work suggests that hurricanes have become markedly more powerful and longer-lasting since the 1970s. Those observations certainly correspond with the events that pushed Katrina from a category one to a category five hurricane in a matter of days. This August, water in the Gulf of Mexico was unusually warm - two to three degrees Celsius warmer than average. As Katrina passed over the Gulf from Florida to Louisiana, she sucked up all that heat and grew into a monster." (David Suzuki ‘Heat Adds Power to Storms’ http://us.f253.mail.yahoo.com/ym/ShowLetter?MsgId=2301_1622435_26201_2942_7586_0_74207_24625_564378431&Idx=58&YY=52448&inc=25&order=down&sort=date&pos=2&view=&head=&box=Inbox September 14, 2005). In addition, it has also been pointed out that, "Katrina is the 11th storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, which began on June 1. That is seven more than are usually whipped up by this stage of the season in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, the United States' National Hurricane Centre said. The season ends on November 30." (Elizabeth Nash ‘The deepening climate crisis’ http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=10342880 August 29th 2005). The damage done to the region’s wetlands meant that even smaller hurricanes would have caused serious flooding. Thanks have to be given that the climatic consequences of america’s greed and arrogance has impacted one of its own cities rather than a city in a poorer part of the world which has little responsibility for destabilizing the climate. A number of commentators also believe america is responsible for Katrina, "So far, the United States has done exactly nothing even to try to slow the progress of climate change. We're emitting far more carbon than we were in 1988, when scientists issued their first prescient global-warming warnings." (Bill McKibben ‘After Katrina, the climate just gets worse and worse’ http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/09/11/ING38EJQKC1.DTL&type=printable September 11, 2005); "Katrina and Rita, then, are not just bad luck, nature's occasional surprises thrust on unsuspecting humanity. Make no mistake about it. We Americans created these monster storms. We've known about the potentially devastating impact of global warming for nearly a generation. Yet we turned up the throttle, as if to say: "We just don't give a damn." What did anyone expect? SUVs make up 52% of all the vehicles owned in America, each a death engine, spewing record amounts of CO2 into the earth's atmosphere." (Jeremy Rifkin ‘Sorry, Mr President, homilies won't stop the hurricanes’ http://www.guardian.co.uk/hurricanes2005/story/0,16546,1576714,00.html September 23, 2005); "And that’s because these disasters seem mostly self-inflicted, in some larger sense. I noticed that the New York Times and many other media outlets reported several human causes with Katrina’s effects: the building on and subsequent erosion of the Mississippi Delta’s natural hurricane buffer the barrier islands; the increasing temperatures of the Gulf waters and the hotter water’s very significant contribution to more and more powerful hurricanes; the repeated Federal failure to provide budget funds for levee reinforcement that everyone knew we would eventually need; the gradual sinking of New Orleans as the energy industry pumps out more water and oil and natural gas from underneath the city; the federal government’s finally giving in to developers of the outlying areas in the Delta by underwriting insurance policies for new building, which private companies had previously declined to provide; and of course the general, overall greed and stupidity of continuing to build a major coastal city below sea level without requiring elevated foundations and a flood-ready infrastructure." (David Langness quoted in Juan Cole ‘David Langness Reports on New Orleans’ http://www.juancole.com/2005_09_01_juancole_archive.html September 13, 2005). For normon solomon to state, "The catastrophic hurricane was an act of God." (Norman Solomon ‘Bring Them Home...NOW!’ http://www.counterpunch.com/solomon08312005.html September 1st 2005) shows a level of ecological ignorance that is shocking. Secondly, Katrina has given americans a real taste of what their country has done to iraq. The american military decimated falluja and now new orleans has been devastated almost as badly. The overwhelming majority of americans were not interested in the damage inflicted on falluja or the deaths of innocent iraqis. It is highly doubtful whether anyone in iraq has the slightest sympathy for what Katrina has done to new orleans. Thirdly, the gulf of mexico is an oil producing region and new orleans is not merely a major oil terminus but a major centre for oil refining and distribution. It distributes nearly two million barrels of oil per day - 10% of america’s daily oil consumption. Katrina brought about the closure of "nine Gulf Coast refineries." (‘Hurricane raises fears of global energy crisis’ http://news.ft.com/cms/s/bb273a94-1a3a-11da-b279-00000e2511c8.html August 31 2005). It also stopped the distribution of oil around the country. It is almost as if the Earth is deliberately targeting some of the biggest Earth-wrecking industries that are doing so much to destabilize the climate. The arrogance of the american oil industry in creating such a massive oil infrastructure in an area prone to hurricanes is astounding. Finally, over the last couple of decades an increasing number of america’s dechristianized zionists have been doing their best to provoke armageddon in the middle east in order to encourage the return of their so-called messiah. Such israeli branded livestock now have their armageddon but it’s on their doorsteps and since their god has not yet appeared to rescue them they are going to have to live with the consequences. Perhaps praying for god to inflict devastation on other people wasn’t such a christian thing to do?
The Amazing Spectacle of America’s Self-Destruction: Zionists and Katrina (Part Two
It’s the Poor that get it in the Neck. As usual, even in a country as ultra-wealthy as america, it’s the poor who suffer the most from anthropogenic disasters such as Katrina. The rich, mostly white, were able to flee the city prior to the arrival of the hurricane whilst the poor, mostly black, were left to face the consequences of a climatic disaster caused primarily by the rich. The city, state, and federal authorities had no emergency evacuation plan to put into operation and, in effect, abandoned the poor, the sick, and the frail, to their own devices. These people remained in a state of abandonment without food, water, shelter, security, or medical services, for five days after the disaster. If there was any doubts that many of those abandoned did not feel completely alienated from their own society, modern constitutional government, and civilized values, these disappeared in a mayhem of looting, robberies, and violence. The abandonment of predominantly black people was the other side of the coin to their alienation from society. The flooding of the new orleans was an opportunity for the formation of ad hoc grassroots organizations to make the best out of a catastrophic situation, when the strongest and most intelligent amongst the abandoned could help the weakest. And yet this did not happen. On the contrary, the abandoned descended almost instantaneously into a state of nature. The strongest grabbed what they could and defended what they had against all others. The dead were left rotting in the midst of the living. The only social relationships left in new orleans were those of gang members seizing the opportunity for a quick profit. When the tsunami struck in asia in december 2005 there was little looting, violence, or rapes, only people helping each other to minimize their hardship, salvage their possessions, and rebuild their communities. Hurricane katrina exposed the hideousness of american values to the rest of the world – laisser faire, free enterprise, the survival of the fittest. There was blatant racism at work in the abandonment of poor blacks but, equally obviously, black culture seemed to show it was no different from white culture. There is not the slightest trace of collectivism left amongst blacks or whites in america. America is no longer the envy of the world: it is verging on the repugnant. The Zionist Role in the Katrina Disaster. The role of the israelis controlling the bush administration has been blatantly exposed in the aftermath of this self induced climatic disaster. Firstly, the cost of america’s zionist proxy war in iraq has been so great that new orleans’ flood defences were neglected. Some parts of the city’s flood protection system had not been kept in good repair whilst those parts which had been updated were designed to combat only a category three hurricane. There is still some dispute as to whether Katrina was a category five hurricane or not by the time it hit the city. Secondly, the area is home to 10,000 national guardsmen but so many are in iraq there was insufficient manpower and equipment to implement an evacuation plan, a disaster relief plan, or repair breeches in the city’s flood defences, "Chalk up the city of New Orleans as a cost of Bush's Iraq war. There were not enough helicopters to repair the breached levees and rescue people trapped by rising water. Nor are there enough Louisiana National Guardsmen available to help with rescue efforts and to patrol against looting. The situation is the same in Mississippi. The National Guard and helicopters are off on a fool's mission in Iraq. The mayor of New Orleans was counting on helicopters to put in place massive sandbags to repair the levee. However, someone called the few helicopters away to rescue people from rooftops. The rising water overwhelmed the massive pumping stations, and New Orleans disappeared under deep water." (Paul Craig Roberts How New Orleans Was Lost’ http://www.antiwar.com/roberts/?articleid=7131 September 1, 2005); "Distracted by its phony war on terrorism, the U.S. government had made no preparations in the event Hurricane Katrina brought catastrophe to New Orleans. No contingency plan existed. Only now after the disaster are FEMA and the Corps of Engineers trying to assemble the material and equipment to save New Orleans from the fate of Atlantis." (Paul Craig Roberts How New Orleans Was Lost’ http://www.antiwar.com/roberts/?articleid=7131 September 1, 2005). The absence of national guardsmen also meant the city had to be abandoned to the looters. Thirdly, over the last couple of decades or so america has given to the jews-only state in palestine nearly a hundred billion dollars to strengthen and extend jewish domination over the palestinians. A substantial part of this money was spent on providing a life of luxury for jewish religious extremists squatting on palestinian land. This year, the bush administration had forked out a few extra billion dollars for the removal of jewish squatters from gaza, "By contrast with the thousands left behind as Katrina and the broken levees pulled New Orleans into the mud hole of the lake that once made possible its existence, thousands left behind because they had no means of evacuation - no cars, no buses, no trains, no military transport, no helicopters - the Israeli squatters were provided free transportation, new housing within the state of Israel, grants of $30,000.00 each and, additionally for seniority, NIS 4,800 for each year they lived in Gaza for each family member, in addition to reimbursement of moving expenses to the tune of NIS 14,000-21,000.00 to the Negev, Galilee and Nitzanin. In short, Sharon made sure the settlers he had encouraged to settle on his illegally obtained land were well compensated for as he demanded that they leave. Why mention these matters in conjunction with the events that have ravaged the Gulf Coast these past two weeks? Because the American taxpayer paid for the settlers to be moved and to cover the "disengagement plan" proposed by Sharon: U.S. aid for the pullout "was slated to offset the cost of implementing the disengagement plan." (Ha'aretz 4/9/05, Yoar Stern). Israel asked for and received more than 2 billion, including the U.S. aid package (Ha'aretz, 24/8/05, Shamuel Rosner; Jerusalem Post 1.27/05, Janine Zacharia). In the CRS Report to Congress, "Israel's Proposal to Withdraw from Gaza," Clyde Mark notes "Israel will offer compensation to the settlers, but the amount and the source of the funds are uncertain. It is estimated that the 1,500 Israeli settler families in Gaza would receive between $200,000 and $750,000 each to move into Israel. The compensation would be for their homes and businesses, but also include additional funds for new housing allowances, business and household relocation, or other expenses." The total cost of the disengagement is estimated "at about 8 billion schekels ($1.74 billion)." (Truth seeker," 7/8/05). These pullout costs are "included in the new U.S. aid package" according to the Jerusalem Post (_7/05)." (William A Cook ‘From New Orleans to Palestine’ http://www.counterpunch.org/cook09092005.html September 9 / 11, 2005). The israelis dominating the bush administration chose to give billions of dollars to their fellow jews in the jews only state rather than use such money to reinforce new orleans’s flood defences. What is even more remarkable than israelis’ stealing american resources to prop up the jews-only state in palestine is that many jews in america are not in the slightest bit grateful to americans who tolerate the theft of their resources. Indeed, some crackpot jewish fundamentalists believe that Katrina was god’s revenge on america for forcing jewish squatters to leave gaza, "Shas spiritual leader Ovadia Yosef: Hurricane Katrina result of Bush’s support for disengagement, failure of New Orleans’ black residents to study Torah. ‘This is the punishment for what Bush did to Gush Katif,’ rabbi says. In his weekly sermon, the rabbi said: "There was a tsunami and there are terrible natural disasters, because there isn’t enough Torah study… black people reside there (in New Orleans). Blacks will study the Torah? (God said) let’s bring a tsunami and drown them. Hundreds of thousands remained homeless. Tens of thousands have been killed. All of this because they have no God," said the rabbi, who already found himself in hot water in the past following controversial remarks of one kind or another. Bush was behind the (expulsion of) Gush Katif," he said. "He encouraged Sharon to expel Gush Katif…we had 15,000 people expelled here, and there 150,000 (were expelled). It was God’s retribution ..God does not short-change anyone."" (Zvi Alush ‘Rabbi: Hurricane punishment for pullout’ http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3138779,00.html September 7th 2005). So, in one way or another, the jewish lobby in america and the jews-only state in palestine contributed enormously to the devastation caused by this so-called natural disaster. "The Bush administration is damned by its gross incompetence. Bush has squandered the lives and health of thousands of people. He has run through hundreds of billions of borrowed dollars. He has lost America's reputation and its allies. With barbaric torture and destruction of our civil liberty, he has stripped America of its inherent goodness and morality. And now Bush has lost America's largest port and 25 percent of its oil supply. Why? Because Bush started a gratuitous war egged on by a claque of crazy neoconservatives who have sacrificed America's interests to their insane agenda. The neoconservatives have brought these disasters to all Americans, Democrat and Republican alike. Now they must he held accountable. Bush and his neoconservatives are guilty of criminal negligence and must be prosecuted." (Paul Craig Roberts ‘Failure on Every Front’ http://www.counterpunch.org/roberts09032005.html September 3 / 4, 2005). If the israeli neocons in the bush administration hadn’t pushed america into the invasion of iraq then it would have been possible for money to have been spent on america’s flood defences. If the jewish neocons hadn’t pushed america into iraq then the national guard would have been able to evacuate many people from new orleans, provide aid to those left behind in the city, and protect property from looters. If the jewish necons hadn’t focussed the presidency on fighting a series of zionist proxy wars then it might have spent more time trying to combat global burning. In the future it will be interesting to see whether the israelis in the american administration continue to fund the jews-only state in palestine or provide money for the reconstruction of new orleans. Katrina is now being hailed as the country’s biggest ‘natural’ disaster. The deaths and damage it has caused go far beyond the p*ny bombings. It has been recognized that, "Officials from President Bush down to Marc Morial, a former mayor of New Orleans, said the impact of Katrina was worse than that of the 11 September attacks on New York, and so required an even more energetic response." (Andrew Buncombe and Andrew Gumbel ‘Anarchy in New Orleans’ http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article309692.ece September 02 2005). Whether new orleans will be given greater political and financial recognition of its plight than jewish new york remains to be seen.
The Amazing Spectacle of America’s Self-Destruction: Zionists and Katrina (Part Three)
Katrina Exposes the dominance of Zionism over America’s Oil Industry. Since march 2003, the world’s hyper-power has been floundering around in iraq – everything it does just makes its occupation of the country even more untenable. This was not very surprising given that such an outcome had been predicted by many anti-war critics. What is much more surprising, especially to the wider world, is the floundering of the bush administration when confronted by an entirely predictable climatic disaster in america itself. It was surprising that the bush administration refused to provide new orleans with the resources needed to protect itself from flooding. It was even more surprising to discover the region had no evacuation plan or emergency relief plan to put into operation should such a disaster strike. More startling still is that even if evacuation and emergency relief plans existed the region didn’t have the organizational infrastructure, manpower, equipment, or resources, to implement such plans. The consequence of this seeming indifference and ineptitude was the unnecessary deaths of thousands of people, social chaos, city wide looting, social violence, and the total breakdown of law and order. It was as if a part of the wealthiest nation in the world simply returned to the state of nature. But, then such surprises shouldn’t have been that shocking given the record of the bush administration’s indifference and callousness. Katrina has exposed the utter rot and corruption at the heart of american politics but a handful of critics have been pointing out the mafia nature of this administration for many years. The most shocking revelation exposed by Katrina is the bush administration’s complete indifference to the interests of america’s oil industry. New orleans is a major part of america’s oil industry, "According to reports, 25% of our oil and gasoline comes through the New Orleans port and refineries, all out of commission." (Paul Craig Roberts ‘Failure on Every Front’ http://www.counterpunch.org/roberts09032005.html September 3 / 4, 2005); "Louisiana is the source of about 15 percent of U.S.-produced petroleum, much of it from the Gulf. The local refineries are critical to American infrastructure. Were all of these facilities to be lost, the effect on the price of oil worldwide would be extraordinarily painful." (George Friedman ‘New Orleans: A Geopolitical Prize’ http://www.stratfor.com/news/archive/050903-geopolitics_katrina.php September 01, 2005); "These wetlands (in Louisiana) protect one of the most extensive petroleum infrastructures in the nation. The deep offshore wells now account for nearly a third of all domestic oil production, while Louisiana's Offshore Oil Port, a series of platforms anchored 18 miles (29 kilometers) offshore, unloads a nonstop line of supertankers that deliver up to 15 percent of the nation's foreign oil. Most of that black gold comes ashore via a maze of pipelines buried in the Louisiana muck. Numerous refineries, the nation's largest natural gas pipeline hub, even the Strategic Petroleum Reserve are all protected from hurricanes and storm surge by Louisiana's vanishing marsh." (Joel K. Bourne, Jr. ‘Gone with the Water’ http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0410/feature5/ September 2005). The cost of constructing, running, and maintaining this oil infrastructure, consisting of oil terminals, oil refineries, and oil distribution networks, must be over a hundred billion dollars. The oil industry supposedly funds the most powerful lobby in america and many of its personnel hold leading positions within the bush administration. It should have been relatively easy for the oil lobby and its oil-based politicians to have pressured the american government into funding flood defences in the region to protect the oil industry’s colossal investments. And yet they utterly failed to do so. That the bush administration ignored new orleans and its residents is not too surprising but it is utterly shocking to discover it was also willing to ignore its own oil industry. "You can smell the petrodollars burning at Port Fourchon, the offshore oil industry's sprawling home port on the central Louisiana coast. Brawny helicopters shuttle 6,000 workers to the rigs from here each week, while hundreds of supply boats deliver everything from toilet paper to drinking water to drilling lube. A thousand trucks a day keep the port humming around the clock, yet Louisiana 1, the two-lane highway that connects it to the world, seems to flood every other high tide. During storms the port becomes an island, which is why port officials like Davie Breaux are clamoring for the state to build a 17-mile-long (27-kilometer-long) elevated highway to the port. It's also why Breaux thinks spending 14 billion dollars to save the coast would be a bargain. "We'll go to war and spend billions of dollars to protect oil and gas interests overseas," Breaux says as he drives his truck past platform anchors the size of two-story houses. "But here at home?" He shrugs. "Where else you gonna drill? Not California. Not Florida. Not in ANWR. In Louisiana. I'm third generation in the oil field. We're not afraid of the industry. We just want the infrastructure to handle it." (Joel K. Bourne, Jr. ‘Gone with the Water’ http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0410/feature5/ September 2005). The reason the bush administration ignored new orleans and its oil industry is because the administration is dominated by israelis whose only loyalty is to the jews-only state in palestine. The bush administration’s primary concerns are promoting the interests of ariel sharon, the jews-only state in palestine, and zionist expansionism in the middle east. It was simply not bothered about a disaster not merely to one of the country’s biggest cities but to the country’s oil industry. This analysis is reinforced by the fact that in the mid 1990s, the israelis in the clinton administration and in congress passed a law banning trade with iran because it posed a miniscule threat to the jews-only state in palestine. The biggest victim of this ban was the american oil industry which over the last decade has lost out on hundreds of billions of dollars in trade with one of the world’s biggest oil and gas producers. For more info on the zionists trouncing of the american oil industry please see ‘How the Jewish Neocons are Bleeding America to Death’ http://mundiclub.blogspot.com/2005/04/how-jewish-neocons-are-bleeding.html It could also be added that, given the critical role of oil in the american economy, it might have been thought the federal government would have wanted to protect the oil industry for the good of the country as a whole. Given also the critical role of new orleans in america’s transportation system it might have been thought that the federal government would have wanted to protect this transportation system, "Katrina has taken out the port - not by destroying the facilities, but by rendering the area uninhabited and potentially uninhabitable. That means that even if the Mississippi remains navigable, the absence of a port near the mouth of the river makes the Mississippi enormously less useful than it was. For these reasons, the United States has lost not only its biggest port complex, but also the utility of its river transport system - the foundation of the entire American transport system. There are some substitutes, but none with sufficient capacity to solve the problem." (George Friedman ‘New Orleans: A Geopolitical Prize’ http://www.stratfor.com/news/archive/050903-geopolitics_katrina.php September 01, 2005). New orleans is basically what america will look like once zionists have sucked the life out of the country. The reason that israelis support the most extreme forms of capitalism in america is basically because they want to extract as much money as possible from america for the jews-only state in palestine without spending any money on their responsibilities in america. For example, some jewish billionaires are making huge profits from americans and then using these profits to finance jewish squatters on palestinian land. "Abramoff (an israeli who became a billionaire in america) also works with the World Zionist Organization and the Christian Coalition to bankroll illegal Israeli settlement activities. According to Israeli prosecutor Talia Sasson they are part of a larger international problem. Some $60 billion worldwide has been illicitly funnelled to Israeli settlements via different foreign donors, quasi-NGOs and secret military accounts. In one such case, according to Senate testimony and news reports in Newsweek and The New Republic, an Abramoff charity, Capital Athletic Fund, underwrote sniper scopes, camouflage suits, thermal imagers, night vision goggles, hydration tactical tubes, shooting mats and other paramilitary equipment through Greenberg Traurig to right wing settler Shmuel Ben-Zvi. Abramoff wanted to help ultraorthodox settlement Beitar Illit "neutralize terrorists" and wrote to Ben-Zvi; "Thanks brother. If only there were another dozen of you the dirty rats would be finished." Apparently angling for cover and a tax deduction, Beitar Illit seminar director Ben-Zvi suggested invoicing the weaponry to the Israeli Defence Forces on 'Sniper Workshop' stationery with a sniper logo and letterhead to qualify it as an educational entity. Payments were partially run through "Kollel Ohel Tiferet," an entity not publicly listed or traceable. Beitar Illit Mayor Yitzhak Pindrus claims never to have heard of it. (Newsweek, 5/2/05). Abramoff dollars may also have found their way to the Israeli Defense Forces' Lebanon Border Unit, the civilian SF troops that patrol the Israel-Lebanon border. Yaagal, supposedly disbanded after Israel's 2000 pullout from south Lebanon, still conducts clandestine reconnaissance, plans ambushes and carries out cross-border incursions into Hezbollah-held areas of south Lebanon. As so often with lobbyist Abramoff's entities, the tools and trails remain murky." (Trish Schuh ‘Faking the Case Against Syria’ http://www.counterpunch.org/schuh11182005.html November 18, 2005). The attitude of many israelis living in america has been revealed by binyamin netanyahu, "U.S. intelligence sources report that the one Israeli who is considered an extreme threat to U.S. national security is former Prime Minister and current Prime Minister hopeful Binyamin Netanyahu. Not only has Netanyahu visited convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard in his North Carolina prison cell and advocated strenuously for his release but he was once overheard by an ex-CIA agent as saying to a group of his supporters, "Once we squeeze all we can out of the United States, it can dry up and blow away." Considering the damage the neo-cons and their Israeli facilitators are causing for U.S. national security, Netanyahu may soon have his wish." (Wayne Madsen ‘The Neo-Cons’ Unfettered Access to America’s Secrets’ http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/exclusive1.htm September 2005). Given the catastrophic political neglect of new orleans, its transportation industry, and its oil industry, america is well on its way to becoming a jews-only state i.e. a state solely concerned with jews around the world. Floundering on the Edge of Disintegration. The israeli devastation of america is amazing to behold. A political system utterly crippled by israeli traitors, a crippled currency, a crippled military in iraq, an israeli dominated adminsitration which throws vast amounts of money to the jews-only state in palestine whilst burying itself under astronomic debts. Katrina is almost certain to curb american economic growth, "Some analysts cut US growth forecasts, saying soaring petrol prices would hurt consumer spending." (‘Hurricane raises fears of global energy crisis’ http://news.ft.com/cms/s/bb273a94-1a3a-11da-b279-00000e2511c8.html August 31 2005). The same is also true of insurance costs. The increase in insurance costs as a result of the massive payments that will have to be made as a result of the devastation in new orleans will also help to inhibit future economic growth in america. New orleans, a city crippled by an american induced hurricane, a city left defenceless by israeli traitors in the bush administration busy syphoning off american taxpayers’ resources to their friends and allies in the jews-only state in palestine, stands as a symbol of a country in the process of self destruction. America has brought these disasters upon itself and only americans are capable of rectifying these disasters. One Katrina is not Enough. The p*ny bombings were hailed as the political equivalent of the attack on pearl harbour and the subsequent changes in america’s foreign policy e.g. the ‘war on terror’ have borne this out. But now americans have generated their own 9/11 on an even vaster scale so it might be expected that even more radical political changes would ensue from this disaster e.g. an acceptance of global burning. However, it is highly doubtful whether americans are capable of making such a change. They are simply too comprehensively sucked into the vortex of irresponsible consumerism, planetary indifference, and israeli oppression, to be able to accept they are planetary beings with planetary responsibilities who need to protect the Earth’s life support system and ensure the stabilization of the climate. There’s even less chance of any changes amongst america’s ideological communities. Firstly, america’s pseudo christian culture, "First, I am getting e-mail from Christians solemnly noting that the hurricane struck New Orleans shortly before the onset of "Southern Decadence," a homosexual extravaganza scheduled for the Crescent City. A news release which appears to have originated with a Protestant group and is being circulated by Protestants and Catholics, reads as follows: "ACT OF GOD DESTROYS NEW ORLEANS DAYS BEFORE SOUTHERN DECADENCE: Just days before 'Southern Decadence,' an annual homosexual celebration attracting tens of thousands of people to the French Quarter of New Orleans, an act of God destroys the city."" (Michael A. Hoffman II New Orleans: The Buck Stops Here’ revisionisthistory.org September 5th 2005). Libertarians’ response to Katrina isn’t much different. Lew rockwell uses Katrina to demand the privatization of all levees and all of america’s public infrastructure. "Can levees and pumps and disaster management really be privatized? Not only can they be; they must be if we want to avoid ever more apocalypses of this sort. William Buckley used to poke fun at libertarians and their plans for privatizing garbage collection, but this disaster shows that much more than this ought to be in private hands. It is not a trivial issue; our survival may depend on it. It is critically important that the management of the whole of the nation's infrastructure be turned over to private management and ownership. Only in private hands can there be a possibility of a match between expenditure and performance, between risk and responsibility, between the job that needs to be done and the means to accomplish it." (Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. ‘The State and the Flood - September 02, 2005). Gary north suffocates Katrina within the folds of his libertarian ideology, "Following the waves of Katrina, we can expect a tidal wave of propaganda from the environmental movement regarding the need to spend billions of Federal dollars to restore a pristine, pre-hurricane wilderness south of New Orleans. We will be told of the historic opportunity to preserve wetlands. What is a wetland? It is a swamp. What is a rain forest? It is a jungle. Re-naming things that voters would not otherwise pay to preserve is the environmental lobby's way to get into our wallets permanently." (Gary North ‘Milking the New Orleans Disaster for All It's Worth – September 2005). The left has its own ideological barriers preventing it from learning from Katrina. It is almost completely focused on the social issues arising from this disaster rather than the environmental ones. For example, "What the world has witnessed this past week is an image of poverty and social disarray that tears away the affluent mask of the United States." (Robert Scheer ‘The Real Costs of a Culture of Greed’ http://www.thenation.com/doc/20050919/scheer0906 September 6, 2005). In stark contrast to the p*ny bombings where the issue of islamic fundamentalism became a constant topic of political debate, all talk of climate change disappeared a week after the new orleans disaster. It is highly unlikely that Katrina will change american attitudes or america’s political culture. It has to be wondered just how many Katrina’s is it going to take before the Earth beats americans into accepting the reality of ooman induced global burning. America seems doomed to provoke, and suffer from, more Katrinas. It has to be feared they are far too stupid ever to submit to the predominance of the Earth. It’s laughable to think that a country which can’t be bothered to protect its own people from highly predictable climate change disasters has invaded another country to create a political system that cares about its own people. Perhaps americans ought to demonstrate their abilities to defend themselves before invading other countries. The bush administration screamed that iraq was a threat to the united states so war needed to be declared against that country whilst at the same time denying that global burning was a threat to the united states. So bush charged off to iraq to prevent a non-existent disaster whilst continually denying that global burning was a threat. Bush charges after a non-existent disaster and turns it into a real disaster whilst ignoring real disasters on his own doorstep thereby exacerbating their disastrous impact.
